Pacific Research Protocols from the University of Otago
The Contemporary Pacific is a multidisciplinary journal covering developments across the Pacific Islands region, including Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. It publishes refereed articles on social, economic, political, ecological, and cultural issues, along with political, book, media, and resource reviews, and features interviews and the work of Pacific Islander artists. The journal reproduced The Pacific Research Protocols from the University of Otago, compiled by Judy Bennett and colleagues, which were created to guide ethical and culturally appropriate research with Pacific communities. First released in 2011, these protocols reflect the input of numerous Pacific researchers and communities.
