Humanities Guahan is a non-profit organisation. “Our organization is committed to strengthening and expanding public humanities programming with the people of Guåhan, creating foundational support and educational assets for the island’s people.” They envision that “knowledge and traditions of Chamoru and Micronesian peoples, are celebrated and preserved for upcoming generations.” They offer programs fostering literacy, disscussions and they provide grants for community engagement. There are also special prgrams such as film series about land, oral histories, water; Marianas History Conference and a Humanities Network collaborating with three Pacific Islands partners.
