Pacific Dynamics. Journal of Interdisciplinary Research: Reaching Beyond Disciplinary Borders

In the editorial “Reaching Beyond Disciplinary Borders” (Pacific Dynamics 8, no. 2, December 2024), Robert Nicole reflects on the role of the journal as a platform for scholars of Oceania to share insights and propose creative strategies for regional challenges. The issue brings together articles on climate change, geopolitical struggles over ports, and health concerns such as diabetes in Pacific communities. It also includes research on Polynesian languages in French Polynesia, the condition of Papua New Guinea’s national museum and art gallery, and land literacy among iTaukei in Fiji. The volume concludes with a review of the book Remembering Epeli Hauʻofa: His Life and Legacy.
