“Founded in 1945, the Journal de la Société des Océanistes (jso) is the only francophone peer-reviewed journal dedicated to Oceanian societies and cultures. Pluri-disciplinary since its creation, the journal publishes in the fields of human and social sciences (anthropology, archaeology, history, history of sciences, linguistics, museum studies, political sciences), environmental sciences and literature. Contributions reflect Oceania’s cultural, historical and political diversity, as well as the central role played by this region in the elaboration of key concepts in human and social sciences and of creative responses to contemporary global challenges.”
