Simon Foale is Associate Professor of Anthropology at James Cook University. His research focuses on the intersection of environmental science, local knowledge, and development in the Pacific and other parts of the global South. He has collaborated with Martha Macintyre on the project Social, Environmental and Economic Sustainability in the Context of Melanesian Mining Projects.
