Gabriel Maralngurra, born in 1968 in Gunbalanya, Northern Territory, Australia, is a founding member of Injalak Arts and a prominent advocate for West Arnhem Land’s artistic traditions. His work draws heavily on the region’s rock art heritage while incorporating contemporary interpretations, influenced by senior painter Thompson Yulidijirri. Exhibited internationally, his artworks are held in major collections including the National Museum of Australia and the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
