Collaborations in Oceania Website
We understand this website to be part of partial processes decolonising university and research. As a decolonizing project, it aims at fostering the visibility of and access to Oceanian researchers and practitioners (and their non-Oceanian research partners). The website was created in collaboration with students at the ISEK as well as colleagues at Zürich University. We searched for projects and resources in which collaboration took place at any of these stages in research: research design, application for funding, formulation of research questions, decisions about methods for data aquisition, fieldwork, data interpretation and analysis, writing up, publications, formulating and implementing outputs. We searched in an unsystematic and intensive way for projects having these criteria in mind: – Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners collaborate in research – communities are engaged in research design and output – publications are written by various authors – knowledge is produced by applying Indigenous methods (not only) We continuously add information on collaborative projects in Oceania.
