The Yanyuwa families have been at the heart of the Yanyuwa Animation Project since its beginning, guiding every stage of the process. They determined which stories could be animated, approved scripts and storyboards, and provided the voices for ancestral beings in accordance with kinship law. Their contribution ensured that the animations remained “inside the Law,” honoring ancestral authority and cultural integrity. By doing so, the families safeguarded language, songlines, and Law for younger generations.
