Melanie Anae is an Honorary Associate Professor in Pacific Studies in New Zealand. She served as a Senior Lecturer in Pacific Studies at the University of Auckland from 2002 to 2022. Her research focuses on nuanced understandings of identity construction among Pacific peoples and communities in New Zealand. Her work includes studies on pacific research methodologies and relational ethics.
