Pacific Island Monograph Series (PIMS) (since 1983)

“The Pacific Islands Monograph Series (PIMS) is a scholarly publication series. Established in 1983, PIMS focuses on publishing in-depth research in the humanities and social sciences related to the Pacific Islands. The series emphasizes interdisciplinary studies and is committed to promoting works by emerging and Indigenous scholars. Topics covered include history, politics, culture, and contemporary issues affecting Pacific Island communities. PIMS serves as a valuable resource for academics, students, and anyone interested in the diverse and dynamic region of Oceania. The PIMS Editorial Board encourages submissions that address issues of concern beyond a single discipline. It is especially committed to promoting works by emerging and indigenous scholars. The series produces, on average, one book a year. Thirty-one titles have appeared so far.”
