We understand this website to be part of partial processes decolonising university and research. As a decolonising project, it aims at fostering the visibility of and access to Oceanian researchers and practitioners (and their non-Oceanian research partners). The website was created in collaboration with students at the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies and further colleagues at the Universität Zürich, Switzerland.
We searched for projects and resources in which collaboration took place at one or several of these research stages: research design, application for funding, formulating research questions, choosing data-collection methods, doing fieldwork, data interpretation & analysis, writing up, publication, formulating and implementing outputs.
We searched in an unsystematic and explorative way for:
- projects in which Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners collaborate in research
- projects in which communities engage in research design and outputs
- publications with multiple authorships
- projects in which knowledge is produced by applying Indigenous methods
We continuously add information on collaborative projects in Oceania to this website. In case you would like your project to be listed here, please contact juliane.neuhaus@uzh.ch.
