Arts such as lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adture, pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adphy, visu\u00adal arts, per\u00adfor\u00admance, sculp\u00adture, cura\u00adto\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal prac\u00adtices, archi\u00adtec\u00adture or film, have con\u00adtest\u00aded these voids,&nbsp;mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal traces and remains ever since by cre\u00adat\u00ading dis\u00adso\u00adnant&nbsp;nar\u00adra\u00adtives and alter\u00adna\u00adtive spaces. They have crit\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly revis\u00adit\u00aded the con\u00adcepts of mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal and imma\u00adte\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal cul\u00adtur\u00adal her\u00aditage, framed&nbsp;main\u00adly by insti\u00adtu\u00adtion\u00adal ini\u00adtia\u00adtives, to pro\u00adtect it par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in regions that expe\u00adri\u00adence war, social upheavals or lack of resources&nbsp;for the preser\u00adva\u00adtion of mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal and imma\u00adte\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal col\u00adlec\u00adtions,&nbsp;archives, mon\u00adu\u00adments, and oth\u00ader doc\u00adu\u00adments. Arts have become&nbsp;crit\u00adi\u00adcal sources for civ\u00adil imag\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtions, as they address his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal&nbsp;obliv\u00adion, regen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion and the unavail\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty of cul\u00adtur\u00adal heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The con\u00adfer\u00adence aims to dis\u00adcuss the idea and var\u00adi\u00adous ini\u00adtia\u00adtives of mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal and imma\u00adte\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal cul\u00adtur\u00adal her\u00aditage and the role of the arts&nbsp;in under\u00adstand\u00ading decol\u00ado\u00adniz\u00ading process\u00ades in the glob\u00adal his\u00adto\u00adry, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in Latin Amer\u00adi\u00adca and the Mid\u00addle East, and in artic\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading alter\u00adna\u00adtive seman\u00adtics and spaces.
